Therefore in aspects alone, I would rather play the Deadeye, but I am not a fan of the shotgun, hug the boss playstyle. The 60% shield from transformation (and the 50% shield from fiery escape) is VERY nice everywhere there is chip damage or dots. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass.For story, start with a dps class. It's still doable with a support but it goes through much faster if you have a dps that has large aoes or that has higher movement speed/skills. You can easily switch to a more preferred class once you reach North vern, where you unlock knowledge transfer. Knowledge transfer allows you to skip the story to ...
